Dental
A dental visit means being examined by your dentist, who diagnoses and treats conditions that can range from routine to extremely complex. Members of the dental team may include a dentist, dental assistants, lab technicians, and dental hygienists.
Services Provided
We provide comprehensive dental care is provided for all active duty military personnel assigned to Holloman. Dental sick call is available on all duty days and can be scheduled by calling the dental clinic front desk.
How to Make an Appointment
Periodic dental examinations are scheduled for active duty members through their Unit Health Monitor. Follow-up appointments are made at the time of the periodic dental exam appointment or by calling the dental clinic.
Treatment for dental emergencies, such as acute swelling, active bleeding, severe uncontrolled pain or trauma, during non-duty hours can be accessed by calling the main MDG appointment line at 575-572-2778, option 1.
Important Information
The Dental Clinic is available to treat any active duty personnel, retirees and family members for true dental emergencies during non-duty hours. However, family members of active duty personnel are strongly encouraged to enroll in the TRICARE Dental Program administered by
United Concordia.
Retirees and their family members are strongly encouraged to enroll in a dental plan through the
Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP).
Dental Options Outside of Military Dental Clinics
For dental care outside of a military dental clinic, TRICARE offers dental coverage for service members, families and survivors. Additionally, retired service members, their families and certain survivors may qualify to purchase dental coverage through the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program.
